Blocked drain into culvert outside wooden double gates.
Reported in the Flooding or standing water on road category anonymously at 20:43, Sat 8 June 2019
Sent to Warwickshire County Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1653162.
The road drains into the deep culvert outside the wooden double gates to the field next to The Olde House Cherington have become blocked and last night caused flooding across the road in front of The Olde House, Cherington and right up to that property. Attempts to clear some grass from the drains have been made by us but deeper blockages are still in place in the drain.
The drain on the opposite side of the road to The Olde House has partly collapsed into the culvert. Leaving a deep hole. This is a known problem because the drain has been coned off for several months and a barrier put in place around the hole to stop children falling into the open hole into the deep culvert.
There may be a connection between the hole in the road around the drain opposite The Olde House and the blockage in the drains next to The Olde House.
Please arrange for the drains to be cleared of blockages and the hole around the drain cover and into the roof of the culvert in the road to be repaired. Thank you.
