Despite resurfacing road remains treacherous

Reported in the Trunkroad or motorway defect category anonymously at 23:24, Fri 7 June 2019

Sent to Warwickshire County Council 1 minute later

The resurfacing work has made Arley Lane treacherous. Despite being informed that the road was being resurfaced for a second time on Thursday it is still awful with loose chippings everywhere and slippy due to the lack of grip. Not a good combination considering the fog this evening.

The loose surface dressing and relying on passing traffic to compact it all seems to be a poor, cost-cutting method in this situation.

Updates

  • Road:arley lane was resurfaced and reopened before the tar was properly dry as a result the tar and stones got stuck all over my tyres and wheels and bodywork.I've uploaded photos to show this.

  • Obviously I'm not happy it took me hours to clean the tar off my car at my expense.I've had no apology from anyone and very little correspondence which in itself is about as poor as the road surface on arley lane!!
