New island is to wide, forcing drivers into the bike lane. An accident waiting to happen.

Sent to Warwickshire County Council 2 minutes later
The new pedestrian island being built on Dunchurch road just south of Overslade lane is to big for the road, it makes the road substantially narrower at this point. There is a high chance someone will one day mount it on the pavement. It also forces people into the bike lane when travelling south which could endanger a cyclist. I understand the island being there but it is to wide and it is an accident waiting to happen.
Further to the above complaint, the carriage way width is insufficient for HGV's even without the cycleway considerations. This is clear from the marks left by vehicles hitting the kerbstones since installation three weeks ago. This need rectifying before the islands are destroyed and or there is a serious accident.
