Foot path damaged our side Clinton School due to cars parking on
Reported anonymously at 15:06, Sun 26 May 2019
Sent to Warwick District Council and Warwickshire County Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1640394.
Due to parents and neighbours parking on the foot path outside of Clinton School, the foot path has been damaged, allowing water ingress and hence the sub base has weakens resulting in a heavily crazed surface which now requires urgent remedy in order to avoid a pedestrian tripping over.
The ‘pencil’ posts installed outside St Johns School (photo attached) would prevent future illegal parking on the footpath.
Updates
-
The pavement will be inspected this week and areas for repair identified. Please allow up to 6 months for repairs to take place
Regarding the suggestion of bollards, - County Highways does not fund or supply bollards of this type. If the school consider they are necessary for the safety of children, they should liaise with their point of contact within the Education dept

Thank you for your reply.
However, in response to your comments that County Highways don’t provide such items as bollards... that this is another department .. I find most frustrating!
WCC will spend tax payers money fixing the foot path, but do nothing to stop the damage from recurring in the future. This is false economy and a prime example of local authorities wasting money.
Please reconsider your policy and actions. Act in the best interest of the tax payer and child safety!
