Cars persistenty park on the grass verge parallel to double yellow lines.
Reported in the Obstruction or hazard on road category anonymously at 10:19, Wed 22 May 2019
Sent to Warwickshire County Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1636846.
They park on the path and also the crossing point on the verge. This as you can see is a visual obstruction when you try to pull out of Dickens Road and has caused many near misses and a couple of RTI's in the past. This has been reported previously and nothing has been done. It is a direct contravention of the highway code. Parking on grass verges, parking on pavements and causing a visual obstruction to road users. There is a need for physical obstructions to be incorporated into the grass verge to prevent this from happening.

Warwickshire County Council does not have the authority to deal with vehicles parked inappropriately at this location. For assistance with a vehicle which is causing an obstruction you would need to contact the Police who have powers to take appropriate action. The Police have the authority as the Highway Code states“You MUST NOT leave your vehicle or trailer in a dangerous position or where it causes any unnecessary obstruction of the road. [Laws CSDPA sect 21 & RTRA sects 5 & 8]” In such a case they may issue a Fixed Penalty Notice or arrange removal/relocation of the vehicle.
