Road in a terrible state

Reported via Android in the Pothole category anonymously at 19:50, Tue 7 May 2019

Sent to Warwickshire County Council 5 minutes later

Presumably, because residents of the houses set away from Buckley Road prefer to park their cars up near their house, whenever they go off the (non-lowered) kerb here, they are putting extra pressure on the road surface. As a result, it is in an appalling condition (see picture).

As well as fixing the road, perhaps the council could either:

A) Lower the kerb b) put up bollards or something so the residents are forced to park on the widened pavement like everybody else.

  • It's a good job the residents do park outside their houses its such a small strip of road for the residents in flats houses on buckley road to park without these cars parking away there would be less parking also one of the residents is disabled from whst I can see he could always get the council to give him a disabled space there so either way there will be less parking so in all honesty what's the real issue here . The road is like this bevause of tree roots the path is the same its further up also

  • The issue is the road is the way it is because cars keep jumping off the non-dropped kerb onto it. There is no way that damage is being caused by tree roots - the road surface would be pushed up, rather than indented as it is. I don't know if you noticed, but my report contained two suggestions - one of which was to put in a dropped kerb, so residents parking next to their houses didn't damage the road when they drove onto it.

It's immaterial anyway as I reported this four months ago and the only thing that has happened is the wholly inadequate temporary fix they put in back in July.

The council will just have to deal with the inevitable claims from people whose cars have been damaged by this road surface. Can't wait to see what it looks like after winter...
