Pavement is a disgrace
Reported anonymously at 11:59, Tue 9 April 2019
Sent to Warwick District Council and Warwickshire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1598479.
3 years ago I raised my concern (online under Contact Us case GCU1353043 ) about the sub standard condition of the pavement on Cross Street. Roll forward 3 years and the only thing that has gone on is more digging up. Outside 23a (see photo) I counted over 16 different types of tarmac in a 4 metre stretch. In fact I don't think there is any original pavement left. Just patchwork.
During the 3 years both adjoining roads have had a pavement resurface. Clarendon Street actually had paving slabs with a lovely blue brick edge whilst Lansdown Crescent had a total resurface which also looks pleasing and maintains the air of a quality "edge of town" location.
My hopes were raised recently with the closure of the road for essential works. What happened? a few potholes in the road were repaired only adding to the patchwork style of this street. And of course, as the street looks a dump the clean up post road work was nil.
Cross Street now looks abandoned. What can you do about this and when?
