Overgrown Holly bush preventing residents parking, due to tisk of damage to vehicle and unable to get out of one side of the vehicle

Reported in the Hedges / Trees on road or verge category anonymously at 12:40, Fri 29 March 2019

Sent to Warwickshire County Council 4 minutes later

There are 3 Holly bushes on the green in Dudley Road, which are out of control. Residents do not want to park near them because of the risk of damage to their vehicles and the fact you can't get out of the car near them. Parking is at a premium, and residents are parking on verges instead to avoid and churning them up, which is unsightly. Many households have more than one vehicle these days, but there are still council houses on this road, that don't have driveways. The amount of cars parked on verges and on the road is getting ridiculous, and not only is it causing problems for residents with driveways, there could be an issue getting emergency vehicles past them. The other trees on the green, also need tending too, as the block light out from neighbouring houses

  • 10 months later, still nothing done about this. Fallen branches on trees have now damaged telephone lines, which have subsequently been replaced. Litter strewn about after Recycling collection is now getting caught up under the Holly bushes and is not only unsightly, but also a danger to wildlife. Verge outside 48 Dudley Road and on the corner of the green is a mess, from people parking
