Parking obstruction
Reported in the Obstruction or hazard on road category anonymously at 10:08, Fri 15 March 2019
Sent to Warwickshire County Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1572942.
Cars are continuously parked at the junction of the Crackthorne Drive roundabout on Coton Park. This problem has been ongoing for as long as I’ve lived here (6 years) It causes a huge obstruction as cars are forced onto the wrong side of the road round a blind bend. As this is a bus route you always risk a head on collision with the bus.

Warwickshire County Council does not have the authority to deal with vehicles parked inappropriately at this location. For assistance with a vehicle which is causing an obstruction you would need to contact the Police who have powers to take appropriate action. The Police have the authority as the Highway Code states“You MUST NOT leave your vehicle or trailer in a dangerous position or where it causes any unnecessary obstruction of the road. [Laws CSDPA sect 21 & RTRA sects 5 & 8]” In such a case they may issue a Fixed Penalty Notice or arrange removal/relocation of the vehicle.
You make like to raise this issue with the police via your local Community Forum. Three priorities are set for Police attention at the Community Forum - for the next three months. The barriers have been placed around this drain for many weeks and is quite dangerous. Traffic leaving the village have to approach towards the centre of the road and should an oncoming car or lorry be coming the other way too fast there could be a bad accident! My question is.....when will the drain be repaired and the barriers removed?
