Verge damage along length of Taylors Lane, Upper Quinton

Sent to Stratford-on-Avon District Council and Warwickshire County Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1565085.
Taylors Lane verge damage was recently repaired following many complaints by residents. The repairs by WCC involved filling the deep ruts with earth. This repair method lasted but one day before HGV/Bus/Tractor traffic continued to drive on the verges when attempting to pass on this narrow road resulting yet again in deep ruts returning. These ruts are dangerous to cars and pedestrians and are an eyesore, particularly where the soil has been splashed onto the road causing a slip hazard. The inadequate number of passing places are deeply rutted and during rain, these flood, discouraging their use which forces large vehicles to use the verges instead when passing other vehicles. It is recommended that the passing places are all drained and re-surfaced with tarmac. It is strongly recommended that the verges are correctly repaired with compacted stone. Earth repair never has worked! If these recommendations are not viable it is recommended that a formal review of traffic use of Taylors Lane take place.

The Taylors Lane verge damage has of course worsened due to heavy bus/HGV/Tractor traffic being forced to use the soft verges to pass on the narrow road. Recent rains have increased the problem as the ruts and passing places fill with water and cannot drain unless some form of drainage is provided.
