A46/A435/A422/Evesham Street roundabout at Arrow. When this roundabout was built, it was provided with visibilty splays in accordance with the then current Dept of Transport Standards. Over the years, due to neglect, these visibilty splays have become overgrown with vegetation now several metres high. This is especially bad when attempting to join the roundabout from Evesham Street, as there is now zero visibility of traffic joining from the A435 until it is actually on the roundabout. This represents a danger to road users, and could easily be resolved by cutting back the vegetation and restoring visibility lines to that as originally designed. The grass on the verges was cut last week, but no one took the opportunity, as could easily have been done with the equipment and manpower present, to deal with this issue. Are you waiting for a serious traffic accident before acting? Its past the bird nesting season , and in any event, ecological issues cannot be allowed to take precedent over road safety, unless the County Council policy differs?
