Taylor's Lane in Upper Quinton, a small country by way, is being totally abused and damaged during this current road works operation in Lower Quinton. It is our council tax is being wasted on stupid, easy and 'not fit for purpose crushed gravel infill'. As will be seen, in my photographs, of which only three could be downloaded, of this messed up and dangerous small single track lane. In the same hour on Sunday last workers etc were paid to lay a totally inadequate infill. It reverted back immediately to exactly as it was - dangerous. From the outset there could have been a solution to stop this dangerous destruction by considering a one way system. Tailors Lane has been resurfaced twice since I have lived here and of course at the public's EXPENSE. It still continues to be dangerously abused by HGV vehicles which cause the outer reaches of the lane to sink and break up? The sign 'unsuitable for HGV's' on the B4362 is totally ignored and makes you, the council controllers, look weak and ineffective. Buses yes, but HGV's should be banned. It is an utter disgrace to see what is happening to our countryside and small villages. Tailors Lane now has drop off's of some 8" or more to the edges on both sides. Cars are seen to drop off these edges and swerve into the centre of the lane to exit? It is only a matter of time before a serious accident occurs. The 30 MPH signs you temporarily laid are ignored completely by many of the passing traffic? As locals we watch in amazement as to the local road destruction throughout the Stratford district.
