The main road into Lower Quinton
Reported in the Road works problem category anonymously at 08:51, Sat 12 January 2019
Sent to Warwickshire County Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1510556.
The main road in and out of lower quinton is close for road works but it is causing havoc with people trying to get in and out of the village via back country lane. The first exit is Back lane which is a single track road and people are just flying down that road with no care for the other road users. The second one is via Upper Quinton, this is a little bit better but there was an accident at the top of that road last night (11/01/2019). I just feel that this hasn’t been thought through very well and it is going to lead to a serious accident with the amount of people trying to get out the village durning ‘rush hour’.

I agree with the closure of the main road the two diversions are Taylors Lane & Back lane the problem being they are lanes & not MAIN roads single track vehicle in places & as the buses are forced to use this it is totally unacceptable. After an accident last night which is not going to be the only one I hope you will reconsider a safer way for people to get in & out of the village
