Storm Drain blocked and water coming up through the ground
Reported in the Flooding or standing water on road category anonymously at 19:01, Thu 3 January 2019
Sent to Warwickshire County Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1502210.
The storm drain that runs down the road is blocked under my drive entry, and is forming a spring that is undermining my drive and presumably your road. It has been like this for the last five years and need doing now as I have to replace my drive but cant until this problem is solved.

That is extremely unhelpful as the water is clearly storm water not fresh water, so is the responsibility of Warwickshire County Council. I cant help feeling this is just a system to keep people busy while the council sits back.

Warwickshire County Council has received your report which will be reviewed accordingly. There are no automatic updates to the status of this report - this is something we are working on as part of the improvements to fault reporting.

The reply posted by the council is obviously generic and does not give me confidence that my issue has even been considered. A personal reply would be preferable. Therefore it is reasonable to give the council 10 days notice to come up with a plan especially as they have known about this for at least five years now. If I do not receive a substantial update I will pursue this thorough the Small Claim Court for damage to my drive and entrance way caused by this unrectified fault.
