Increased accumulation of mud on road and pavement outside Appleton House new housing development on Church Rd due to recent wet weather and increased use of heavy site traffic. Large lorries are now regularly travelling on pavements depositing mud on same. Can no longer walk on pavement without walking through mud – have to enter road to avoid – dangerous to all but increased slip, trip, fall risk – (has a risk assessment been carried out by developer? ) to elderly and young children/parents with pushchairs. In addition on morning 13 November 2018 a large aggregate lorry exited site – pulled up outside Holly Lodge and ‘reorganised’ causing debris to fall from lorry onto road. Some large pieces of stone could pose risk of damage to parked vehicles if kicked up by moving vehicles. Would urge Warwickshire Highways to ensure developer – Spitfire – and contractor – Terrain – at a minimum engage services of a sweeper vehicle to sweep/cleanse road and pavement on a regular basis, especially through winter months ahead. This problem is not going to improve as winter sets in. Debris on road should be removed as soon as possible.
