String of potholes sprayed yellow by not fixed

Reported in the Pothole category by Steve Turner at 12:28, Tue 9 October 2018

Sent to Warwickshire County Council 1 minute later

These potholes and damaged road edges were sprayed yellow months ago but then just left alone and not filled. They extend along the road and round the corner towards the A422. Please sort out!

  • URGENT!! Come on council!!! Still plenty of holes and a very deep one > 10cm deep. A car swerved around it and nearly hit me coming the other way this morning - I had my 2 daughters in the car on the way to school. What is the matter with you people, all these holes were sprayed yellow months ago and since then just ignored.

  • At 2.10pm on Friday 7 Dec, I hit this pothole at about 40 - 50 mph (oncoming traffic prevented me avoiding it). It burst my tyre, which I replaced with the space saver spare at the roadside. A new tyre and wheel alignment set me back about £180. The yellow markings show the council know about the pothole and yet they have clearly done nothing. Photos show pothole length is approx 60 inches and depth nearly 3 inches. I notice today someone has kindly put a cone in it to attempt to warn others.

  • Just a reminder to the council that this pothole is URGENT!! There is now a traffic cone in it which overnight has fallen over with a nice coating of white frost on it making it difficult to see which a vehicle could hit causing more damage. Come on get off your lazy arses and get out there - sorry, involves some work which we know you don't like!!

  • Still holes and some surfaces like the moon here along this stretch despite yellow paint.

  • Spoke to Warks council engineer Patch over a week ago who said he would visit site and take action. As of today 6 Feb no change.

  • Some repairs have been made to the terrible holes along here but they were done extremely badly. I think a small child did them. So still the surface of the moon along here in several places!
