Paul Wainwright Aggregates trucks using limited access road
Reported by gary elliott at 13:28, Wed 3 October 2018
Sent to North Warwickshire Borough Council and Warwickshire County Council 2 minutes later
I walked down a small part of Norton Hill today and was forced off the road by 3 trucks delivering aggregates to a building development at the bottom of Norton Hill. The trucks came from the A444 and this road is narrow and has a limit of 7.5T. These trucks clearly exceed this limit. They are driven fast and in a dangerous manner on a narrow country road with no passing places for other road users - pedestrians cyclists horses and other vehicles. I took a photo of the one of the trucks. It stopped and the driver abused me verbally.
Unfortunately Warwickshire County Highways do not enforce weight restrictions on the highway network.
This is an issue that you will need to raise with the police via the community forum. Details of this and more information on weight restrictions can be found: https://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/ hgv
