Road repair defect, uneven surface on the road.
Reported anonymously at 14:24, Thu 30 August 2018
Sent to Warwick District Council and Warwickshire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1399898.
A few weeks ago there was a road works, due to a trench that was dug across the carriageway of the A425. I assume to do with the improvement / extension, of Warwick preparatory school. As there was a underground pipework laid, across the road to that property.
Since the road workers have filled in the hole / trench, the tarmac they have put in. Isn't at an even level, compared to the road surface which you can see on close inspection. This on the side of the road when driving towards Warwick, an uneven more so nearest the center of the road. Every time I have driven over it, it is causing a loud bang inside my car from the right side. Not unlike hitting a pothole, which is causing me concern that it is damaging my vehicle and other peoples. Today when I was walking past that spot, every vehicle that passed was making clunking noise because of this defect. It's just before the 30 MPH zone, by the information signs.
I am very concerned that the repair will determinate quite quickly, due to the volume of traffic that uses this road.
So if someone can please inspect it officially, I hope that the defect can be remedied quickly as possible.
Thanks.
