Excessive speeding
Reported via Android by John Newton at 01:27, Sun 19 August 2018
Sent to North Warwickshire Borough Council and Warwickshire County Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1391161.
Locals seem to use this stretch of road as some kind of race track or speed trials track ! Every day we've been there we've witnessed vehicles speed by in excess of 50 mph. Never seen a Police patrol or beat Officer either. Turned out onto Manor Road on Thursday 16th August around 11:30am having looked to check the road was clear and was almost hit side on by a black 1 Series BMW heading up the road towards Atherstone centre doing well over 50mph, I luckily braked and he swerved over to the opposite side of the road but had another vehicle been coming it'd have been a (fatal) 3 vehicle smash ! This MUST have all been reported before so why don't the speed humps extend all along that road, why no speed cameras etc ?? Someone (a mother with kids going to school along there or one of these teenage idiotic local boy racers) WILL be killed soon...........

Warwickshire County Council denied all responsibility for traffic calming etc and blamed the Police, no word received from the Police even when messaged on Twitter for all to see.......awaiting a major smash, pedestrian being run over, delivery lorry being broadsided etc, then see who says what eh !

Still mindless idiots speeding, (including Business owners showing off flashy cars fgs !!) overtaking two vehicles on a blind bend at 45 - 50mph on a 30mph road with houses, junctions, dog walkers, kids / toddlers walking to school and lots of Industrial Units with unsighted gateways and carparks...... There WILL be a massive RTC soon (law of averages) with casualties. Maybe then Council & Police will pay attention ??
