No Entry

Reported anonymously at 17:04, Tue 7 August 2018

Sent to Rugby Borough Council and Warwickshire County Council less than a minute later

The bottom access to Brownsover Lane was made ‘no entry’ some years ago when the Ambulance Station was located here. This is not adhered to at all, but the road was narrowed to single lane. I have had many near misses with people entering Brownsover Lane as I am exiting (I live in Wilf Brown Close so I use this multiple homes a day). I notice the bus drivers of the Stagecoach D1 service seem to have an issue with this also. People use Brownsover Lane as a ‘nip through’ to miss the traffic to get on to Leicester Road, but it’s very unsafe. Traffic also seems to make a left turn from Brownsover Road, which makes it a completely blind turn. I have suffered verbal abuse and threatening behaviour from drivers making this turn and almost hitting my car and causing an accident. I would expect the road needs widening or one way traffic management is needed, signs really aren’t deterring people from driving in the wrong way
