Vandalism of Aquduct fencing

Reported by James Horley at 14:05, Tue 29 May 2018

Sent to Warwick District Council and Warwickshire County Council 4 minutes later

Some mindless moron has decided to demolish the fencing (only renewed about a month ago by I suspect the Canal and River Trust) and put there to safe guard those same mindless morons who trespass on private land from falling 20 or so feet into the Radford Brook which runs under the Grand Union Canal. Then having ripped up the fencing they throw it into the canal.

  • I notice now that the steel fencing on the bridge embankment has also been removed, allowing easier access to the top of the bridge parapet. The area when not being used as an hideaway area for drinking and 'Smoking' is also used by younger children to play.

  • The only thing to change is that storm damage made the fence more insecure and the Canal and River Trust in clearing the debris have dropped large amounts into the Radford Brook to worsen flood potential.

  • The only other change that has happened since is that the old timber that was dragged from the canal has now been taken by the boating fraternity to keep there home fires burning.
