Significant rainwater coming off Holloway. One of the drains is blocked and my house at risk of surface water flooding
Reported in the Flooding or standing water on road category anonymously at 13:03, Mon 12 March 2018
Sent to Warwickshire County Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1241627.
The blocked drain on the northern side of the road is causing alot of surface water to run over the camber in the road and on to the lower side. My front door (Staddlestones) is below the road level and if this continues then my property is at risk of flooding as the front door is directly in line with the blocked drain.
This is the 3rd time since we moved in (October 2017) that the blocked drain has caused excess water on the road however this occurrence is the most serious.
I have had to sandbag to stop water ingress but the drain needs unblocking urgently.
This isnt a particularly heavy weather event either, so I would be concerned that any sigificant rainfall this spring would result in the water coming over the kerb and straight in to the house.
This can be avoided by addressing the blocked drain.

The No Parking sign painted on the road opposite my house has faded. This means people are taking advantage and so traffic struggles to get past and comes too close to my cottage. The property was clipped by a vehicle last year.I look forward to your speedy response.kind regards Kevin Kenny Content Cottage Ashorne Tel-07869297457
