Status unknown
The road drains in this stretch appear to be blocked. Quite often there is water coming up through the gully
Reported in the Flooding or standing water on road category by Mark Ratcliffe at 10:42, Mon 5 March 2018
Sent to Warwickshire County Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1232968.
This is an ongoing problem - not just because of the recent snow. Heavy rain invariably ends up with this section of road partially under water.

This problem has been extant all winter and the cause is nothing more than a blocked drain. It would have taken little more time to fix it than to have placed the "Flood" warning signs in the road. I, as a pedestrian, have been soaked on more than one occasion when 2 cars have been crossing there - not the driver's fault.
WCC are absolutely hopeless at unblocking and keeping drains clear. One would have thought than in the this prime tourist location something would have been done, but no, this is the same fault found throughout the town. A lot of money was wasted in Wood Street in the end-of-financial-year spending round but recurring problems are left.
