Wheelie Bins obstructing the footpath for Mobility Scooter users.

Reported anonymously at 11:15, Wed 20 December 2017

Sent to Rugby Borough Council and Warwickshire County Council 5 minutes later

Wheelie Bins are left out for days after collection in Townsend Road Rugby, obstructing the footpath for Mobility Scooters, pushchairs and pedestrians. This has been ongoing for 15-18 months and many complaints to Rugby Borough Council and Mr J Roodhouse (Councillor) but NOTHING has got done.I am informed that Section 46(1)Environmental Protection Act 1990,Highways Act 1980 Section 137 and the Clean Neighbourhood and Environmental Act 2005 all cover this problem but RBC have done nothing about this ongoing problem unlike Coventry Council or other councils. So I'm writing to you in the hope of something getting done.

  • Thank you for your report But sadly this is Rugby Borough Council issue. County Highways are a maintenance service we do not deal with obstructions.
