Sunken Surface Water Drain in Road outside 15, Botanical House, gully has sunk over 150mm and is dangerous for pedestrians crossing road.
Reported in the Gully or manhole defect category anonymously at 22:36, Tue 7 November 2017
Sent to Warwickshire County Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1140536.
The surface water drain has collapsed and has a large depression in the carriageway over 175mm from the surface of the adjacent carriageway. This is extremely dangerous for pedestrians crossing the road, as the surface is not where you would expect it to be as you step out and is very uneven. I personally fell at this location on the 21/10 resulting in a visit to hospital and a serious ankle injury. The pavement has been marked up as to identify a fault for repair and looks as though this has been there for several months.

Warwickshire Highways have placed two traffic cones either side of the fault and a sandbag over the hole in the carriageway. The cones are constantly being moved by drivers looking to park and do not adequately protect the public from the dangerous condition of the carriageway. This needs a permanent repair asap.

Finally after three months of the public being exposed to this risk a permanent repair has taken place over the weekend of the 26-28/02/18.
Considering the danger this is not an acceptable time period.
If this had been the responsibility of a third party, e.g Utility, then a notice under section 58 of the New Roads and Streetworks Act would have been issued for immediately dangerous apparatus and would have had to be fixed within 2 hours.
Double standards by the HA again treating heir own responsibilities and the public with contempt.
