Chopped down tree
Reported in the Hedges / Trees on road or verge category by Trevor Bradley at 10:54, Mon 11 September 2017
Sent to Warwickshire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1105858.
I totally support the comments from Claire Shale. I have been away for a couple of days and come back to this hideous site outside my house. No consultations, no warning. We are treated as third class citizens. We deserve a full report on why this action was taken by the council and who made the descision. Yes, there was a minor defect in one of the branches but the actual tree had many years of life left in it. It cannot be brought back now but to leave it as it is now is totally unacceptable. It must removed and replaced. I am sure that this horrendous looking object would not be left as it is if it was on a main street of Kenilworth, Warwick or L/Spa. Trevor Bradley

Tree stump removed week ending 29th Sept. Believe replanting is going to be done close as poss to old roots but no date confirmation. E mail to Warwickshire Forestry Dept 5th Oct requesting that the gap left by tree removal is filled with a new piece of trip rail fencing

Good news. WCC advise School Safety Team will be in the area after Christmas and will fill in the gap with a new piece of fencing

Highways Team that erected original fencing returned in Jan 18, as promised, to replace missing piece of fence that was left open when Forestry Dept removed the tree. All fixed. Guess Forestry may return later in year to replant next to where the tree they cut down was. Thank you
