Street light which illuminates the junction of Truro Close and Camborne Drive has been taken over by a tree and is now broken..
Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 21:55, Tue 18 July 2017
Sent to Warwickshire County Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1074256.
The lamp has lost its lens and is now inoperative. The lamp has not been working for at least one year. The tree has completely taken over the lamp and needs cutting back so when the lamp is fixed, it will be effective. The tree also has thick lower branched down to the ground which are blocking the safe view of drivers entering and leaving Truro Close. The same tree is also encroaching onto the path, forcing pedestrians into the road on the junction, which is now unlit at night

To be fair, two council workers did come out to the light only a couple of days later. They cut down a small number of branches in order to gain access to the lamp post but nothing further has happened. The lamp is still inoperative and the tree is still obscuring the view of motorists and blocking the public footpath.

Nothing further has been done since my last update a month ago. The street light is still inoperable and trees still obscure the view for drivers and cover the footpath, forcing pedestrians into the road.
