Blocked drain under public road adjacent to 63-65 Regent Street causing road and pavement to flood.
Reported in the Flooding or standing water on road category anonymously at 15:35, Sun 11 June 2017
Sent to Warwickshire County Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1052336.
The road surface in Regent Street, Bedworth was given a new top dressing recently. As part of the process, a layer of finely ground stones was applied to the surface. The excess of these have worked loose over the last few months, allowing them to wash into the gulley, and then promptly into the drainage system at the side of the road. Subsequently, the drains at the side of the road have become blocked, and so there is nowhere for the runoff from poor weather to go. Each time it rains the road and pavement adjacent to numbers 63-65 Regent Street is flooded. The problem has persisted for more than one month, and appears to have gotten worse over that time. The main blockage appears to be in the drain at this location.

The road was swept shortly after this report was sent, clearing the loose chippings. However, the drain is still blocked and the road still floods during rain.

Ten months on, the issue has not even been looked at. Still floods every time it rains.
