Obstruction on footpath
Reported anonymously at 18:48, Tue 25 April 2017
Sent to North Warwickshire Borough Council and Warwickshire County Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1027502.
Called regarding the florist on Market Street, Atherstone she wasn't sure if its name. They have buckets of flowers on display out side the shop on the pavement, she is aware a licence is needed for this and doesn't think she has one. As there are also parked cars on the other side of this narrow road, cars driving down have to mount he pavement to get past, so with the flowers outside the shop it is causing danger to pedestrians Address of the problem. if necessary: Florist Market Street, Atherstone - the side where you drive down to get onto Long street

I drove past here today and there were now bread crates with flowers in which extended beyond the shopfront towards Long Street. There is less than 30 cm foot path remaining. it is not acceptable. I saw a pushchair having to carefully go round also avoiding the oncoming traffic.Hurry up and get this blockage cleared before somebody is injured. Shops do not have the right to obstruct pavements with their merchandise. The pavement is for walking on safely to avoid cars!!!
