Along the A452 Kenilworth Road from Cloister Crofts to Trinity Street all gullies are blocked ... East side more serious as the surface water collects on the road at the top of drives to the houses ... During the flash floods of August 9th 1999 excess water then travelled down the drives and flooded properties to the rear of the main houses e.g. at number 39G where elderly couple, The Whitcombs were not able to return to their home until almost Christmas that year. There have been near misses since. Today after much dry weather it is clear that the gullies are solid with hard mud. Hardly any traffic at the moment on this normally busy road ..... An excellent time to get this job done at last?
