Fencing restricting view to retirement village Entrance

Please see a Copy of an email sent to Wayne Bellamy at SDC planning enforcement that explains the issue. Wayne, Thank you for responding so quickly to my e-mail. I will await an update once you have spoken to the developer. Just another couple of observations, in front of the white hoarding is an metal fence (as seen in the one of the photos) that was put up after the hedge was ripped out last Spring. I believe there are two issues here, first why it is needed given that there is also hoarding there, and secondly metal fencing sits on land owned by Warwickshire County Highways not on the developer's land. This also raises an issue regarding visibility to the East Lodge entrance from the erection of the hoarding and metal fencing. In the original planning application, the developer had permission to take out the hedging that was removed last spring and replace it with a new hedge further into the site, to improve the visibility to the East Lodge entrance. Although I can't recall if there was a specific timeline, I understood it to be once the East Lodge entrance was to be used by residents of the retirement village. This was a highways' safety requirement by Warwickshire County Highways in order to improve visibility to the entrance at the East lodge. However, by erecting two sets of fencing/hoarding which is actually nearer to the road(B4096) than the original hedging, this is actually doing the opposite in that makes the visibility to the East Lodge entrance even more restricted. Surely this must a concern to both the planning department and County Highways? Regards Peter Bostock
