OVergrown bushes obstructing footpath and grass weeds causing trip hazard

Reported anonymously at 17:41, Mon 21 October 2019

Grass and weeds growing among the paving slabs that make up the pavement are a trip hazard, especially at night when the streetlights are switched off. Residents have contacted me as their local Borough Councillor, advised that there have been several trip falls as a result and the issue needs to be fixed. In addition there are bushes planted adjacent to the tarmac footpath linking Rectory Close and Manse Close that are overgrown anc causing an obstruction to the footpath - especially for anyone who has sight problems or is in a wheelchair. The matter has been reported to Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council under reference CF149944580. The Borough Council has advised that the matter is the responsibility of Warwickshire County Council to resolve. Please have these matters attended to and let me have a timescale for the work to be carried out so I can communicate to my ward residents.
