Dip in road surrounding manholes

Reported anonymously at 08:08, Thu 10 October 2019

Hi there, this will be my third time of contacting you about this issue, without a response thus far. Right outside our house are a few manholes - we live on the corner of Johnson Place and Birmingham rd in Henley-in-Arden. Although the Birmingham road is very busy and noisy, this would not be an issue were it not for these manholes. The manholes can be quite noisy but more than anything it is the dip in the road that surrounds the manholes. When a large vehicle (of which there are many) goes past (almost always quicker than the 30mph limit) and hits the dip the noise can be shattering. The width of a HGV, a bus or a trailer seems to be perfect enough for it’s passenger side wheels to hit the dip/manhole and cause the loud crashing sound. Vehicles carrying trailers often have their trailers bounce high off the road surface - it’s looks dangerous. I really would like a response and for something to be done about it. I’d like to also send a video with audio of the noise. Could you give me contact details in order for me to do this please? The issue has been there for at leas t 12 months. Thank you David Perrins
