Unnecessary Delay on Toucan Crossing

Reported by David Gareth Heathfield at 09:06, Fri 28 June 2019

The Toucan crossing of the B4087 has an unneccessary delay built into it. This is in contrast to the similar crossing of the Cubbington road which changes almost immediately. Of course the crossing should have a delay if it is pressed immediately or soon after another person has used it to keep traffic flowing. But when it hasn't been used for a long time it makes absolutely no difference to put a delay into the programme. This delays pedestrians and cyclists for absolutely no reason and is of no benefit to car drivers.
