Uprooted concrete bollard

Reported anonymously at 15:50, Mon 17 September 2018

This bollard is one of four on a small island at the top of St. Nicholas Close, Austrey, Warwickshire, CV9 3EQ. They were installed to help prevent cars from mounting the grass verge on the island. It was ok until the morning of Thursday 13th September 2018 when we (residents) found it in this state. Unfortunately no one heard or saw what happened, there was no accident debris or scratches/marks left on the surface of the bollard. We assume that the wheels of a large vehicle such as a lorry mounted the verge and rolled over the bollard causing it to be completely "uprooted". Parents dropping off children at Austrey Primary school constantly park on the island, causing vehicles to mount the verge to get past, which is why there is also a large and unsightly muddy "rut" in the grass on the island,
